Water for photovoltaic wafer production

Deutsche Solar AG, one of the biggest global producers of mono- und multicrystalline silicon wafers for photovoltaics, mandates Hager + Elsässer GmbH.

In order to expand the production capacity, a new production site will be realized in Freiberg, Germany, before end of autumn 2009. The contract for the water and waste water treatment system has just been awarded to Hager + Elsässer GmbH in Stuttgart.

The scope of supply comprises the raw water treatment from surface water which is realized by ultrafiltration; the generation of cold and hot DI water as well as the neutralisation of the process waste water.

The realisation of the water treatment systems will be supported by Hager + Elsässer S-Tec GmbH, the execution center which is located in Klipphausen. In the future, Hager + Elsässer S-Tec will provide full service in close proximity.
