350 m³/h of surface water are treated by the
FLOCOPAC L precipitation, flocculation, decarbonisation and sedimentation system.
Flocculation/precipitation and sludge dewatering of waste waters containing HF and H3PO4, flocculation/precipitation and sludge dewatering of CMP waste waters.
Treatment of CMP waste waters containing copper by flocculation/precipitation, sludge processing and ion exchangers. Neutralisation of various types of waste water.
PW production comprises softening, reverse osmosis and electro-deionisation. In the EcoSoft TS softening plant, regeneration/sanitisation is carried out using hot brine, the Rocedis TS reverse osmosis and electro-deionisation plant is sanitised using hot water at 80°C. Production is supplied from the PW storage tank via 3 SaniCircle distribution systems. Two systems are sanitised with ozone/UV and one system with hot water.
The plant is controlled by a PLC system with validated software to GAMP. A multi-panel and paper recorder are used for visual display of the overall plant.
Plant capacity: production 4 m³/h, distribution 12/17/10 m³/h; quality: to Pharm.Eur. and USP; execution and qualification: GMP and FDA-compliant.
Zott produces dairy products such as yoghurt and cheese.
The waste water treatment plant comprises a pretreatment stage, a biological waste water purification stage to remove organic pollutants and nitrogen and an anaerobic sludge stabilisation stage. The plant has operated successfully since 1993.
The waste water treatment plant for a sugar factory in Jülich consists of an anaerobic treatment stage for the heavily polluted sugar beet flume waters, and an aerobic purification stage with nitrogen elimination from the waste water as a whole (anaerobic stage effluent and condensates). The plant was extended in 1997 to a maximum flow rate of approx. 400 m³/h to keep pace with the expansion of the sugar factory and to comply with more stringent waste water requirements.
The PW production plant comprises an EcoSoft TS softening plant and a Rocedis TS reverse osmosis and electro-deionisation plant. Producing 300 m³/h of purified water, it is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Sanitisation is carried out using hot water at 80°C. The plant is controlled by a Simatic PCS7 process control system. Key importance was attached to high availability in designing the plant.
Quality: according to Pharm.Eur. and USP; execution and qualification: GMP and FDA-compliant.
The plant comprises a multimedia filter type ON-3MTF4 for pretreatment of the well water and has a capacity of 12.5 m³/h. Two reverse osmosis systems, each with a capacity of 3.5 m³/h, and an additional blending device were also installed.
The waste waters from potato processing receive final aerobic treatment after anaerobic pretreatment.
The aerobic system comprises a biological phosphorus elimination unit, and a nitrification and denitrification unit including a phosphorus post-precipitation unit.
The waste water treatment plant went into operation in 2001.
